History
It’s been said that “necessity is the mother of invention,” and just like any great invention, v-Pitch was developed to solve a real problem for a real salesman.
A businessman was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He wanted to roll out a new Partnership Program that he had developed for his business. Training and hiring new sales people to sell this program to the many potential partners would be too costly, take too long, and would be too difficult to manage. He could have gone out to sell the program himself, but he was only one man; how would he ever be able to meet with all those companies and run his business at the same time? His only solution was to clone himself, and when he brought this dilemma to a group of talented digital marketing experts, that’s exactly what we did.
Team
Michael Castellano – CEO, Founder
Michael Castellano is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur focusing on early-stage, online rich-media and communications companies. Prior to v-Pitch, Michael was the Founder and CEO of Millennial Productions – a media marketing company specializing in video production, website development and online marketing for clients such as Rolls Royce, Panasonic, Samsung, Sun Microsystems, and Stanford University. Prior to founding Millennial, Michael created the first-ever television station at Santa Clara University which today has over 5 Million views on it’s YouTube Channel. Michael graduated from Santa Clara University Cum Laude in three years, receiving a BA in Communications. Michael was also a United States Senate Page for the 107th Congress.
Chris Hubbard – CTO
As CTO and Chief Product Officer, Chris Hubbard brings two decades of product engineering, visual design and UX experience. Chris has held key positions in a variety start-ups. Prior to joining v-Pitch, Chris built and managed several teams of engineers who have created a number of different applications, ranging from data processing and visualization to a very successful application that interacted with shipping carriers to create and track shipping labels. Chris has co-authored several books about programming with PHP, has taught programming and spoken at technology conferences. He’s also been a strategic consultant for a number of large hi-tech companies, analyzing their product positions and recommending ways to revise the products and their market positions.
Robert Fried – CMO
Fortune 500 marketing strategist and author Robert Michael Fried strikes a refreshing balance between making money and making meaning. Fried has spent most of his career directing or repositioning the marketing and sales strategies for blue chip companies such as Motorola, Quasar Electronics, Marantz Stereo, Hansen Juice and Soda, Nautilus Fitness, and a conglomerate that owned Starcraft Recreational Vehicles. He is particularly adept at finding ways to effectively market in a turbulent economic environment. Fried is a sought after marketing executive especially with companies that need to re-store or create added value for their brand.
Michael P. Downey – CFO
Michael P. Downey is a highly regarded corporate executive with a successful track record in creating incremental value for his shareholders. His track record includes identifying viable economic business opportunities and facilitating corporate growth, as well as substantial merger and acquisition experience. Downey offers a veritable wealth of experience serving in various executive positions including Chairman, Chief Financial Officer, executive consultant, and member of the board of directors for several high profile technology companies.
